Two results make up Mae Haas’s file so far: 2nd in the women’s division at the first-ever SFT Downwind Parawing World Cup stage in Leucate, France (Mondial du Vent, April 22–26, 2026), and 2nd place in the 2026 overall women’s Downwind Parawing ranking. In the discipline’s inaugural sanctioned season, that makes the French racer the closest challenger to runaway leader Manon Dupé.
The Leucate result
Leucate’s women’s fleet was small. 9 starters against 30 in the men’s, which is about what you get in a discipline that only saw its first World Cup in 2026. Haas came through that field to take 2nd behind Manon Dupé; Austria’s Viola Lippitsch was 3rd. The event ran a hybrid downwind format combining upwind, crosswind and downwind legs, judged on speed, efficiency, control and wing management, and finished with riders crossing the line at full speed on the beach.
That podium order (Dupé, Haas, Lippitsch) carried straight into the 2026 overall women’s standings as of mid-season: 1. Manon Dupé (FRA), 2. Mae Haas (FRA), 3. Viola Lippitsch (AUT), then Bowien van der Linden, Sofia Ginzinger and Nia Suardiaz. Whether Haas raced the second stage in Cabarete we can’t say. As of early July 2026 the SFT had not published the Cabarete women’s podium at all, so the hole is in the public record, not in this profile.

Haas may be the least-documented rider on a World Cup podium. No published age, home spot, sporting background before parawing, sponsors, parawing brand, board or foil setup, or social channels.
